hello, week.
trying to be the kind of person who cooks up a bunch of food on a sunday night, and doesn’t find herself spending $20 a day on crappy food from the deli all week because she has all sorts of delicious leftovers to bring to school. how smug does that sound.
on the docket tonight: kale salad, baked chicken, and pumpkin oatmeal in the crockpot. let’s see how long I can keep this up.

Brain ache
Today was the beast. I have never taken a test with such a bad reputation before, not have I ever studied this hard. I am exhausted. 3.5 hours of scribbling in blue books and the headache I already had seems to be compounded by brain ache. And I’m still not done. Bleh.
Embarassing

Eww.

Reprogramming my brain jukebox
Trying to get kol nidre and other high holiday greatest hits out of my brain. Van Morrison is helping but the situation is serious. This might call for something stronger. What’s the opposite of cantorial music? Maybe Beyonce?
Sage Wisdom from my friend Jason.
“Also, be careful with generalizations. For example, don’t assume everyone failed last year to do what they set out to do on Yom Kippur, or that we are not all living “lives of meaning.” (in fact, I’ve heard that some people who are not in rabbinical school are actually quite happy and content with their lives!) “
